iPhone Email ConfigurationPlease enter your email address details here, so that the instructions can be personalised for you. To use your new mailbox, you will need to configure your email client. To configure your iPhone with your e-mail address, you may fing the following instructions helpful. - Unlock your iPhone.
- Tap 'Settings'.
- Scroll down to 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and tap it.
- Tap 'Add Account...'
- Tap 'Other'.
- Tap 'Add Mail Account'.
- Enter in your name to be displayed on the email.
- Enter your email address. (yourname@yourdomain.com)
- Enter your email password.
- Description is optional to tell the difference between multiple accounts. (eg Work and home Email)
- Tap 'Save' when you're done.
- This will attempt to lookup auto server settings. (works with hotmail for example)
- If that doesn't work, it will give you the areas to manually input email server information.
- Change the top box from IMAP to POP email.
- Scroll down to 'Incoming Mail Server'
- Host name is your email server, so mail.yourdomain.com.
- Username will be the email address.
- Password should be saved from the previous screen.
- Scroll down to 'Outgoing Mail Server'
- Host name will be mail.yourdomain.com.
- Username will be your email addreess.
- Password will be your email password.
- Click save.
- Press continue if you get a certificate warning.
- The settings will now be verified.
- You may need to press continue again for another certificate for the outgoing server.
- You should be sent back to the 'Mail, Contacts & Calendars' menu.
- Here you can customise local options for your email account - the way you view your emails on your phone, for example.
